Pilates Studio FAQs

Straight answers to the questions Pilates studio owners ask us most. What software costs. How reformer scheduling works. Whether Mindbody is worth the money. What the numbers look like inside a studio that turns a profit.

These answers come from two places:

  • What we see in more than 1,000 studio owner demos and platform migrations.
  • Public feedback across review sites, forums and community threads.

We also test the other platforms ourselves, so we can tell the difference between a marketing claim and a workflow that holds up in a real studio. We built StudioGrowth, so we have a point of view. We will say so when another platform is the better fit for you.

Methodology

How we work out the numbers.

For cost and profit questions we start from first principles. To work out what it costs to open a reformer studio, we list every cost line, price each one, then check the total against owners who have actually done it.

For questions about competitor features and pricing, we use what we have gathered across more than 1,000 demos and migrations. We check that against vendor websites, public forums and review sites before we publish a number.

Where a figure is an estimate, we say so. Where it comes from a published source, we say that too. Vendors change their pricing often and get acquired often, so confirm final pricing with the provider before you sign anything.

How to use this hub

Start with the question closest to your studio.

Many of these answers overlap, but the numbers change with studio size and class type. A studio with four reformers and 60 members needs different things from one running mat classes for 200. Pick the closest match and work out from there.

Freshness note: We review and update these answers regularly. Pricing and vendor ownership change often in this market. If you spot something out of date, email team@studiogrowth.com and we will fix it.
