Pilates Studio FAQ
Fitness software for Pilates with marketing and automations
StudioGrowth carries one of the most advanced marketing and automation suites built for Pilates studios. Triggers and sequences are unlimited, and they run across SMS, email and push notifications. Dynamic segments enrol clients into sequences on their own, and newsletters can be built in Canva and sent from here.
Triggers that reach clients on three channels
Most studio software gives you triggers. Something happens, and the software does something in response.
The part that varies is what it can actually send. Ours are tied to SMS, email and push notifications. A sequence can use whichever one suits the moment, rather than defaulting to email every time.
A reminder is better as a push notification. A receipt is better as an email. Something time critical is better as an SMS. When all three sit inside the same sequence, you pick per step.
Where a message lands changes whether it gets read. A push notification appears on the phone screen. An email arrives with everything else the client received that morning.
Unlimited triggers and sequences, not a capped number
You can build as many triggers and as many sequences as you want. There is no cap and no counter.
This is not how most of the category works. Limits on automations are common, and they are usually set low enough that studios ration them. You end up choosing which of your good ideas to run rather than running all of them.
Set anything you want. A welcome sequence, a win back, a birthday, a follow up after a first class, a nudge before a pack expires. If you can describe it, you can build it and leave it running.
The value compounds. One automation saves a little time each week. Twenty of them is a job nobody has to do. They also keep working in the weeks when you are too busy to think about marketing.
Dynamic segments that feed sequences directly
Most platforms have segments. You build a group from what you know about clients and then you send to it.
We go a step further. A segment can be dynamic, so clients enter and leave it on their own as their behaviour changes. That segment can then be wired straight into a sequence.
Build a segment of clients who have not booked in 21 days. Wire it into a win back sequence. From then on, anyone who reaches 21 days enters the sequence automatically, and anyone who books again leaves it. Nobody exports a list, and nobody remembers to check.
That is the difference between segments as a filter and segments as a trigger. A filter tells you who to email. A trigger sends the email.
You can build them on whatever you track. Clients who bought an intro offer and have not converted. Clients whose pack runs out this month. Clients who used to come twice a week and now come once.
Each of those is a moment where a studio usually loses someone quietly. A dynamic segment turns it into something the software watches for instead of you.
Newsletters, built in Canva
We kept finding that studios were already building their newsletters in Canva. They liked the design tools, then had to move the result into a separate mailing platform to send it.
So we removed that step. You build in Canva and send directly through StudioGrowth, to your own client list.
You also choose which segments receive it. A newsletter can go to everyone, or only to members, or only to clients who have been in this month.
Unsubscribes are handled for you. Someone who opts out is removed across the board, and stays removed. You do not maintain that list yourself.
What this looks like in practice
- Unlimited triggers and sequences. Build as many as you want, with no cap.
- Three channels in every sequence. SMS, email and push notifications, chosen per step.
- Dynamic segments. Clients enter and leave as their behaviour changes.
- Segments wired into sequences. Entering a segment can enrol a client automatically.
- Newsletters built in Canva. Designed there, sent from here.
- Segment targeting on newsletters. Choose exactly who receives each one.
- Unsubscribes managed for you. Handled across every channel, with no list to maintain.
What to ask on any demo
Three questions separate a real automation suite from a checkbox.
How many automations can I run? If there is a number, ask what happens when you reach it.
Can a segment start a sequence on its own? Not export to one. Start one, without anybody touching it.
Which channels can a single sequence use? If the answer is email only, every step is an email whether that suits the moment or not.
More on the channel side in SMS marketing for Pilates studios. How platforms handle class packs covers what these sequences usually sell.
Where this leaves you
Marketing tools are only worth having if they run without you. A sequence you have to start by hand is a task, not an automation.
Some of this can go further still. AI in studio management covers what gets decided for you rather than by you.
Everything here runs on its own once you have set it up. There is also no limit on how much of it you set up.
What actually decides value covers how to weigh this against the rest of a platform.
Our Pilates studio management software carries all of it. Bring one thing you wish ran automatically and we will build it on the call.
