Pilates Studio FAQ

Inexpensive pilates studio booking app

StudioGrowth, at $159 a month. It is the cheapest option that does everything a Pilates studio needs. Group classes and appointments in one calendar. Class sizes capped to your equipment. Two kinds of waitlist. Memberships and class packs. Your own branded app. Cheaper apps exist, but most cannot do all of that.

First, the genuinely cheap options

Setmore has a free tier. StudioBookings starts around $25 a month. Acuity Scheduling sits under $50 for most studios that use it. SuperSaaS starts lower still. Search for an inexpensive booking system for Pilates and these are what you find. Their prices are exactly what they look like.

If you teach alone, buy one of those

If you teach privates and the odd small class out of one room, you do not need a studio platform. You need a calendar, a payment link and a reminder email. Paying $159 a month for that would be a waste. Any of the tools above will do the job.

The rest of this page is for people running an actual studio.

What a Pilates studio actually needs

The question says studio, and a studio is a different product from a solo practice. Once you have a timetable, instructors and a room full of equipment, the list gets longer.

What you need Why a studio cannot run without it
Classes and appointments together Group classes, privates and duets on one calendar, not two systems that ignore each other
Equipment capacity A reformer class capped at the number of reformers you own, without you checking
Waitlists Classes fill and people cancel. The spot needs filling without you making a phone call
Memberships and packs Intro offers, class packs, unlimited plans, pausing. This is how a studio earns
Reporting Which classes fill, which instructors retain, where the revenue comes from
A branded app Your studio's name on your client's phone. In Pilates this carries more weight than it does elsewhere

The branded app matters more in Pilates than in the rest of boutique fitness. Pilates costs more per class than yoga or general fitness, and the people paying it expect more. Someone paying $35 for a reformer class notices when the booking experience carries somebody else's name on it. Your studio looks the part. The booking should too.

Where the cheap tier runs out

The budget platforms are honest about what they are. They are scheduling tools, built to book an appointment and take a payment, and they do that well.

What they usually cannot do is run a studio. Capping a class to your equipment. Memberships and class packs with expiry rules. A branded app under your own name. Reports that show which instructor keeps clients coming back. Studios often bolt extra tools on to fill the gaps, then end up paying three subscriptions and copying data between them by hand.

At that point the cheap option is not cheap. You are just paying for it in pieces.

Why StudioGrowth is the cheapest real option

Everything on that list is on the entry plan at $159 a month. Not the second tier, not an add-on.

  • Group classes, privates and duets in one calendar. Built for how a Pilates timetable actually works.
  • Room and equipment capacity. A class capped at eight stays capped at eight.
  • Two kinds of waitlist. First in, first out for studios that reward loyalty. Fastest fingers for studios that release spots and let clients race. Both built for Pilates demand, not adapted from a gym.
  • Memberships, class packs and intro offers, with the expiry and pausing rules a studio needs.
  • Your own branded app, on every plan, for clients and for staff.
  • Your own Stripe account. Payments land in your account at Stripe's standard rate. We add no platform fee and take no percentage of what you collect.
  • Support from the people who built it. No ticket queue, no offshore first line.

How to decide in two minutes

  1. Are you a solo teacher, or a studio with a timetable and instructors? If solo, buy the cheapest tool that takes a booking and a payment. Stop reading.
  2. If you run a studio, write down what you cannot run without. Capacity limits, waitlists, packs and a branded app usually make the list.
  3. Price the cheap option honestly. Add the subscriptions you would need alongside it, and the hours spent moving data between them.
  4. Compare that total against a single platform that does all of it.
