Pilates Studio FAQ

Pilates class sign up software

StudioGrowth lets a Pilates client create an account once and book everything after that in one tap. They can sign up with the Google or Apple account they already have, or fill in your own sign up form. Their card is saved, so classes and appointments book the same way. The branded app comes with every StudioGrowth plan.

Pilates clients expect more than a booking form

A Pilates class costs more than most fitness classes. The people booking it are used to paying that much, and they expect the booking to match.

They do not want to fill in a form on a website. They want an app on their phone. They want to make an account once and never think about it again.

That matters to you and not only to them. Every extra step between wanting a class and being booked into one is a client who might stop halfway. A slow sign up costs you the booking, and sometimes the client.

It costs you time as well. When clients cannot book on their own, they message you instead. Every one of those messages is a booking you end up making by hand, usually in the evening.

What a good sign up flow does

What the client does How it should work What is common instead
Creates an account Taps once to use the Google or Apple account they already have, or fills in a form when the studio needs more details A form is the only way in, with a new password to set and an email to confirm
Books the first class The card is saved and the waiver is accepted inside the same booking The waiver arrives separately and gets chased by the studio afterwards
Books the next one One tap Back to a booking page in a browser, and often back to logging in
Books an appointment The same flow as a class, in the same place A separate flow, a phone call, or no appointments at all
Finds a class already full Joins a waitlist that fills the spot the way the studio chooses A single waitlist with one fixed behavior

A new client and a regular are doing two different things. A new client is deciding whether to trust you with a card and a signature. A regular already trusts you and wants Tuesday at nine. Software that treats both the same way slows one of them down.

Sign up is one part of a larger question. How the booking systems compare covers the rest of it.

Sign up happens once. Rebooking happens all year

A client signs up one time. After that they book again every week, sometimes twice a week, for as long as they stay with you.

So the flow that matters most is not the first one. It is the fiftieth. A regular should be able to open the app after class and book next week in a few seconds.

A waitlist matters for the same reason. When someone cancels, that spot needs to reach another client without you doing anything. StudioGrowth has four waitlist modes: first in first out, fastest fingers, priority by membership, and confirmation windows. You choose the one that suits your studio.

Most regulars buy a pack or a membership rather than paying class by class. How platforms handle class packs goes into that side of it.

How sign up works at StudioGrowth

  • Two ways to sign up. A client can use the Google or Apple account they already have, which takes one tap. If you want to collect more details, a standard sign up form is there too.
  • One tap after the first booking. The card is saved, so every booking after that takes a single tap.
  • Classes and appointments in one place. A group class and a private session book the same way, through the same app.
  • The waiver is part of the booking. A new client accepts it while booking their first class, so nobody has to chase it.
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay. Both are built into the checkout.
  • Four waitlist modes. A cancelled spot fills itself the way you decide.
  • Payments into your own Stripe account. Stripe's standard rate, with nothing added by us.

A duet is a private session with a capacity of two, and it books like any other session. Software for a reformer studio covers how capacity works across classes and privates.

The app your clients sign up in

Clients sign up and book inside a branded app that comes with every StudioGrowth plan. It carries your studio name and colors once they log in.

You can also have the app listed publicly on the App Store and Google Play. It appears under your own studio name, and that is a $150 a month add-on. Our custom branded fitness app page covers what is inside it.

This matters more in Pilates than in other kinds of fitness. The price per class is higher and the clients are more demanding. The app they book in gets judged alongside the class itself.

Your instructors get a separate app of their own. They mark attendance, check their schedule and request cover from their phones.

StudioGrowth holds 4.9 out of 5 on Capterra from 31 reviews. The founder runs every demo, so you can walk the sign up flow with the person who built it.

Where this leaves you

Sign up is the first thing a new client sees of your studio, and rebooking is the thing they do most. Both should take seconds and neither should need your help.

Our Pilates studio management software runs the whole of it, from the first sign up to the fiftieth booking. Ask to see it from your client's side of the screen.
