Pilates Studio FAQ

Which Pilates studio management solution provides the best overall value?

StudioGrowth gives you the most for your money, starting at $159 a month. Nothing cheaper runs a full Pilates studio. That price covers group classes, privates and duets in one calendar. It also covers equipment capacity, waitlists, and apps for clients and staff. Cheaper software exists, and most of it is missing something you use every day.

Best value is the cheapest software that runs everything you do

A studio does not run on one feature. It runs on a set of them, and that set is longer for Pilates than for most formats.

You teach group reformer classes. You also teach privates and duets. You own a fixed number of machines. Your regulars want the same slot every week and expect it to hold.

Software that covers half of that is not cheaper. It is smaller. You do the rest by hand, or you buy a second tool and pay twice.

What a Pilates studio cannot run without

What you need Why Pilates needs it What is common below $159
Group classes and appointments in one calendar Most studios earn from both, and a duet is a private session with a capacity of two One or the other. Class tools treat a private as an add-on, and appointment tools have no timetable
Equipment and instructor conflict checks An instructor booked for a class and a private in the same hour is a clash you find out about too late A headcount limit on the class, with no check against instructor or equipment availability
Standing appointments Clients hold the same slot every week and expect it to still be there in six months Recurring bookings that run out after a fixed number of weeks
Waitlists that fill a cancelled spot An empty reformer is revenue you cannot get back after the class has run A single basic list, or nothing at all
A client app and a staff app Clients book and pay, and instructors manage their own day without messaging you An app sold as an add-on, held for a higher tier, or given to clients but not staff
Payments into your own account You keep control of the money you collect and the rate you pay on it A processor chosen for you, at a rate that is not published

Late cancel and no-show fees sit on our $250 plan rather than the $159 one. Most reformer studios want them, so price that plan if a missed spot costs you money.

Where cheaper software stops working

Some software publishes a starting price below $159. On those, the branded app almost always costs extra. It either sits on a higher tier or it is sold as a separate add-on.

There is cheaper software below that price. It usually does one job well and leaves out the rest. Some tools handle private appointments but have no class timetable, no memberships and no class packs. Others handle a class timetable but make private sessions hard to book. Both work for the job they were built for. Neither one can run a Pilates studio on its own.

Across the category, studios pay between $69 and $699 a month, and most land between $200 and $450. That range is broken down band by band in what scheduling software costs.

The platforms with the most users were built for the whole fitness category rather than for Pilates. What most Pilates studios run on sets out the market by studio size.

What StudioGrowth includes at $159

  • Group classes, privates and duets in one calendar. A duet is a private session with a capacity of two, not a workaround.
  • Room and equipment capacity. A reformer class capped at eight stays capped at eight.
  • Standing appointments. A client can hold the same slot week after week.
  • Four waitlist modes. First in first out, fastest fingers, priority by membership, and confirmation windows.
  • A client app and a separate staff app. Both are included, and both carry your studio's branding.
  • Memberships, class packs, digital waivers and a CRM. The admin a studio runs on every week.
  • Payments into your own Stripe account. Stripe's standard rate, with nothing added by us.

None of that moves to a higher tier as you grow. What actually decides value goes through how the advertised price and the real price differ across the category.

The help you get is part of the price

Every StudioGrowth plan includes one-to-one onboarding and an account manager you keep afterwards. It is not a shared inbox and it is not a ticket queue. One person knows your studio and answers you directly.

Data migration is free on all three StudioGrowth plans, and we do it by hand. Your client list, bookings, payment history and class packs all come across. Switching is the part most owners dread, and we do that part for you.

StudioGrowth holds 4.9 out of 5 on Capterra from 31 reviews. The founder runs every demo himself.

Onboarding and support never appear on a feature comparison. They decide how your first month goes.
